New Year News

Shira Kavon of CNN reported on NewsLib that the Virginian-Pilot's Jakon Hays received a research credit on "the breaking story about incoming Commander Owen Honors of the USS Enterprise, whose suggestive humorous videos, which included anti-gay slurs, implied lewdness, and profane language, made with equipment from the carrier’s public relations unit, have come under official scrutiny. The videos were shown to service members assigned to the Enterprise."

In other news, Kate Bird of the Vancouver Sun sent NewsLib readers a link to a story by one of their reporters about the gems in their photo negatives collection. Also mentioned in that story is the assistance given by the Sun's news researchers.

Happy 2011, everyone!
