Job Opening

The San Antonio Express-News has an immediate opening for a full-time
news archivist available.

The archivist will enhance published stories and photos for an archive
and for our website. He or she will also prepare and send newspaper
copies to our microfilm vendor and the U.S. copyright office. Other
tasks assigned as necessary.

News judgment and attention to detail are required.

Applicants should have strong computer skills working on a Windows
platform. They should also have a broad knowledge of current events,
facts, and people. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are
a must as is the ability to work within a deadline driven environment.
Familiarity with digital photography formats and IPTC standards a plus.
